God on the Mountain!!

One of my favorite things to do is sing. I love singing, some people may not love to hear me, but I sure love doing it! As I was going through some recent songs, I came across the song entitled "God on the Mountain." I would say this is my all time favorite song. It reminds me that no matter what we as Christians face in today's society, we have a God who not only is a God in the good times, but He is also a God in the bad times. Life may not always be a bowl of cherries as some people make look at it, especially for Christians. But, as Christians, when we go through hardships and trials, God is trying to teach us and instead of complaining and asking God why all the time, we need to realize that each and every trial God brings our way, is going to help us draw closer to Him. I hope you enjoy this song as much as I do.

Verse 1:

Life is easy when your up on the mountain
And you've got peace of mind like you've never know.
But then things change and you're down in the valley.
Don't loose faith for you're are never alone.

Verse 2:

You talk of faith when you're up on the mountain.
Oh but talk comes easy when life's at its best.
But its down in the valley of trials and temptation
That's when faith is really put to the test.

Chorus:

For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley.
When things go wrong, He'll make it right.
And the God of the good times
Is still God in the bad times.
The God of the day is still God in the night.

Waiting for Prince Charming!!

As girls it is so hard for us to wait for the One that God has created especially for us. I know I have been struggling with this same thing for the past couple of months. Sometimes I question God and wonder if He will ever bring someone for me. Well it is foolish of me to question God, when I know He has a plan for my life and a husband for me. Sometimes as girls we get discouraged, discontent, and dissatisfied with the way our lives our headed. But, you know, as young girls, we need to keep serving the Lord and doing what He has called for us in our single years. Something my sister told me just the other day has really helped me. She said when we as girls are content and satisfied with where God has placed us and we our enjoying serving Him and doing what He has for us, then when you are least expecting someone to come into your life, God will bring him or her. That just really stuck out to me and I have tried to take what she has told me and practice it. I know it is hard, but just remember young ladies, God already has your love story written out and He will bring Prince Charming when He feels like both of you are ready for each other. Don't loose heart my dear friends and by all means DO NOT get discouraged. Lets use our single years to serve others and be active for the Lord!!!

"A girls heart should be so lost in God that a man needs to seek HIM in order to find her"

From Orphanage to Opportunity!

Well as many of you know, I am adopted. I have been really blessed to be adopted into a wonderful Christian family, and wonderful Godly parents. My parents have two kids by birth, my two sisters Kristen and Emily, and then they decided not to have any more children. But, during a conference in which they were attending
the main speaker was talking to the audience about how children our a gift from the Lord and we need to welcome each and every miracle that God sends our way. Well, my parents prayed about adopting, but they didn't know exactly where from. Well, they got in touch with a Adoption Agency called Holt International Children's Service. After praying much about it and getting in contact with HOLT, mom and dad decided that they felt like God wanting them to adopt a little boy from India. My brother was adopted when he was just a baby, and he is truly a blessing and a miracle to our family. My parents felt like God leading them to adopt another little boy or little girl from India, so once again, they contacted HOLT and daddy inquired about a picture of me in one of there magazines. Well, when Joseph came to the states he had two escorts to escort him into the state, but when it was time for me to come, I only had one. It is required that a child being adopted have two escorts escorting them into the states. So, my parents, sister Emily, and brother Joseph came to India and got me. I was a terrified 5 1/2 year old little girl. I didn't want to be taken away from the people that I knew and the places I knew. I felt like these Americans were going to trick me and not ever bring me back. My mother couldn't take care of me, so the only thing that she knew to do was put me up for adoption, where I could be loved and cared for. That was the best decision that my mother could have ever made and I am so grateful to her for doing it. As I said, I am blessed to have been adopted into such a wonderful family. Parents who love me and parents who believe that the number one goal that they have for there children was to see them get saved, and to live for the Lord. I came to America on August 20, 1996!! And I have had so many opportunities to serve the Lord. I truly am blessed to have been adopted! Here are just so of the many pictures of the family that God has blessed me with!
