Christmas 2009 with the Mills Family!!

Wow! It has been forever since I have written on this. Christmas has come and gone and family has come and gone, but I think I would have to say that this has been the best Christmas I have ever had in a very long time! Kristen and David came from PA and Joseph and Sabrina came from TN. Mark and Emily weren't able to come when everyone was here, but we got to see them over the New Years weekend and we had a wonderful time with everyone being here! Here are some pics I took of when everyone was here!

My wonderful family!!

Well, as Thanksgiving approaches, there are so many things that I am thankful for and grateful for. One of the biggest blessings in my life has been, having the most wonderful family in the whole wide world!! I love my parents to death, they are such Godly examples. My dad is a man who loves and cares for his family, and is not afraid to stand up for what he believes in, even if it means being rejected my friends. That is what I admire most of all about my dad. He has a heart to serve the Lord and follow wherever the Lord may lead him or his family. I love you daddy with all my heart! Mom! Where do I begin. She is the one I can talk to when everyone else doesn't care, she always has a listening ear. She is the best mom I could ever ask for. I could go on and on and tell you how much each and everyone of my family memebers mean to me, but it would be too long. I love my family and am thankful that God placed us on the same team. So, this thanksgiving, thank the Lord for what He has given you, instead of complaining about what you don't have.

God on the Mountain!!

One of my favorite things to do is sing. I love singing, some people may not love to hear me, but I sure love doing it! As I was going through some recent songs, I came across the song entitled "God on the Mountain." I would say this is my all time favorite song. It reminds me that no matter what we as Christians face in today's society, we have a God who not only is a God in the good times, but He is also a God in the bad times. Life may not always be a bowl of cherries as some people make look at it, especially for Christians. But, as Christians, when we go through hardships and trials, God is trying to teach us and instead of complaining and asking God why all the time, we need to realize that each and every trial God brings our way, is going to help us draw closer to Him. I hope you enjoy this song as much as I do.

Verse 1:

Life is easy when your up on the mountain
And you've got peace of mind like you've never know.
But then things change and you're down in the valley.
Don't loose faith for you're are never alone.

Verse 2:

You talk of faith when you're up on the mountain.
Oh but talk comes easy when life's at its best.
But its down in the valley of trials and temptation
That's when faith is really put to the test.

Chorus:

For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley.
When things go wrong, He'll make it right.
And the God of the good times
Is still God in the bad times.
The God of the day is still God in the night.

Waiting for Prince Charming!!

As girls it is so hard for us to wait for the One that God has created especially for us. I know I have been struggling with this same thing for the past couple of months. Sometimes I question God and wonder if He will ever bring someone for me. Well it is foolish of me to question God, when I know He has a plan for my life and a husband for me. Sometimes as girls we get discouraged, discontent, and dissatisfied with the way our lives our headed. But, you know, as young girls, we need to keep serving the Lord and doing what He has called for us in our single years. Something my sister told me just the other day has really helped me. She said when we as girls are content and satisfied with where God has placed us and we our enjoying serving Him and doing what He has for us, then when you are least expecting someone to come into your life, God will bring him or her. That just really stuck out to me and I have tried to take what she has told me and practice it. I know it is hard, but just remember young ladies, God already has your love story written out and He will bring Prince Charming when He feels like both of you are ready for each other. Don't loose heart my dear friends and by all means DO NOT get discouraged. Lets use our single years to serve others and be active for the Lord!!!

"A girls heart should be so lost in God that a man needs to seek HIM in order to find her"
